Corrugated packaging is often referred to as a Cardboard packaging,
there is however, a significant difference.
Cardboard is a material similar to thick, stiff paper, that is
made of pressed paper pulp or pasted sheets of paper.
Corrugated Cardboard is versatile material that is used in packaging
as well as merchandise display. Corrugated Cardboard has two components,
the linerboard and the medium. The linerboard is the outside that
sandwiches the medium. The medium is the wavy, fluted paper between
the linerboard. These flutes resist pressure and bending from all
directions.
Corrugated Cardboard comes in a variety of styles:
Single Wall: Two linerboards with one medium between.
Double Wall: Three linerboards with two mediums
between.
Triple Wall: Four linerboards with three mediums
between.
